What is Chef Privé?Chef Privé is a booking platform that connects clients with professional chefs for various occasions, from meal prepping to special events. Through our user-friendly app, clients can filter and browse available chefs in their region based on occasion and cuisine.

How does Chef Privé work?Users can browse through a selection of menus curated by experienced chefs on the app, view their profiles, and choose the one that best fits their preferences. Once a menu is selected, users can schedule dates and enjoy a personalized dining experience at home.

Can I customize the menu to suit my preferences?While the menus are pre-designed by chefs, many chefs are open to customization. You can contact the chef directly via our chat feature to discuss any modifications or special requests you may have, ensuring a personalized dining experience.

Can I cancel my booking?Yes, you can cancel your booking. However, there are cancellation fees based on the timing of the cancellation. Please refer to the Cancellation Policy section in the Terms of Service for details.

Who are the chefs on Chef Privé?The chefs on Chef Privé are vetted independent contractors. They are experienced professionals responsible for preparing and cooking meals based on the client's preferences.

What happens if a chef rejects my booking request?If a chef rejects your booking request, you can choose another available chef. Chefs have 48 hours to accept or reject a booking request.

What if I need specific utensils or tools for the meal service?Clients are responsible for providing necessary items like cutlery, dishes, and any specific tools required for the meal service. Chef Privé does not supply these items.

How do I delete my account?You can request the deletion of your account by going to your profile page > manage account > close account. Keep in mind that some data may be retained for legal or accounting purposes as required by law.

What happens if I'm not satisfied with the chef's services?If you have concerns or disputes about the services provided by a chef, it's recommended to address them directly with the respective chef. Chef Privé is not liable for the actions or services of the chefs.

Can I leave a tip for the chef?While you're free to provide additional payment as a gratuity to the chef, Chef Privé does not designate any portion of your payment as a tip. It's not obligatory, and you can decide whether to leave a tip or not.

What if a chef doesn't show up on the day of the event?If there are issues with the chef not showing up, it's recommended to contact Chef Privé customer support immediately. They will assist in addressing the situation and finding a resolution.

What are the responsibilities of a Chef Privé chef?-Provide personal chef services. -Generate customized menus using the Chef Privé app. -Independently purchase all necessary ingredients. -Prep for events by organizing ingredients. -Arrive on time at the client's chosen location. -Execute the chosen menu with culinary skills. -Bring necessary tools and equipment for on-site preparation. -Honor attendance commitments and follow the cancellation policy.

How does compensation work for Chef Privé chefs/sommeliers/bartenders?-Contractors are paid the full booking amount upon successful completion of the event. -Tips given by clients are allocated 100% to the contractor. -Payments are processed within two weeks of the event's conclusion.

What is the 'Pause Account' feature?Pausing your account as a chef enables you to hide your menus from client's view for an period of time. This provides you the freedom to take breaks without having to worry about new bookings.

Do I have to pay a listing fee or any fee to join Chef Privé?It’s completely free for chefs/sommeliers/bartenders to join Chef Privé; chefs/sommeliers/bartenders get 100% of the price they set.

Is there a cancellation policy for chefs/sommeliers/bartenders?Yes, Chefs must provide a minimum 72-hour advance notice if unable to fulfill a booking. Cancellations within 72-25 hours result in a strike, and accumulating three strikes leads to a permanent ban.

What happens in case of a no-show by the chef/sommeliers/bartenders?A no-show without a 72-hour advance notice results in an immediate and permanent ban from the Chef Privé platform.

How are clients alerted in case of a contractor's unavailability?Chefs must send a mandatory alert to the client at least 72 hours before the scheduled event if unable to attend. Alerts within 24 hours are considered severe violations.

Can chefs/sommeliers/bartenders engage in other independent activities?Yes, during the term, chefs are free to engage in other independent activities, except those inconsistent with the obligations or scope of services under the Chef Privé agreement.

What is the Non-Solicitation and Non-Circumvention clause?Chefs/sommeliers/bartenders agree not to solicit or contact Chef Privé clients for business purposes and not to take actions causing clients to cease or reduce business activities with Chef Privé for two years post-termination.

How does Chef Privé work for sommeliers/bartenders?Sommeliers and bartenders create drink menus on the Chef Privé - Business Manager app that will then be discoverable by clients. Once a client books a menu, they can either decide to book you just for your time or book you for the materials as well, meaning you have to provide the liquor and ingredients to make the drinks yourself.
